/ THE TINA'S TRADITIOANL STORY
Tina's Traditional was founded by native Brit, Tina Jesson in 2011, while living in the Indianapolis area of the USA. Tina's Great Grandmother, who was born in 1899 and was a scullery maid at the time of Downton Abbey, taught her the art of farm house cooking & baking, whilst Tina was growing up in the small village of Bradley in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales.
When Tina moved to the USA, she felt inspired to recreate the recipes she had learnt as a child.
Tina says her business was built on the humble scone and started selling her baked goods at Farmers Markets around Indiana. She went on to own four British Themed tea rooms across Indiana. Unfortunately, when COVID19 hit, the tea rooms closed and the business pivoted.
Tina moved back to the UK in 2022 to renovate the period cottage she grew up in.
Tina's Traditional Bakery & Afternoons Teas was set-up in her country cottage so that she could continue serving locals great homemade baking and is now available to local holiday cottages and boutique hotels in the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District and Tina gained a 5 star very good food hygiene rating.
Tina now runs Tina's Traditional Tours across the UK, inviting Anglophiles to 'Live Like a Local' and hosts a number of tours each year. You can join the wait list for her next tour.
